French Bed & Breakfast for ANZAC Day

Eli and I were fortunate enough to be in France for ANZAC Day. We attended the Dawn Service at Villers Bretonneux.

We discovered a wonderful bed and breakfast called A La Ferme
"A Farm" I think in english...anyone? ;-)

It's in a beautiful little village Bayonvillers about 8km east of Villers Bretonneux

Anyway this is a shameless plug for them because the owners Jean-Claude & Isabelle are wonderfully nice people and richly deserve success. They went out of their way time and again to help us. And made us feel welcome and at home with their warmth and hospitality. The rooms are lovely. Jean-Claude makes the best omelet I've ever tasted with farm fresh eggs sourced from their own chickens. They also provide mouth-watering bread, cheese and butter. Isabelle's homemade jams and marmalades are pure gastronomic genius. Isabelle gave us a whole jar of Strawberry & Rhubarb jam. Would have to be close to the best jam I've ever had in my life! Anyway I'd have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Especially if you are planning on traveling to the Picardy/Somme region for ANZAC Day (when accommodation can be hard to find) or visiting  WWI sites. Tell them Den and Eli sent you and experience the love!

"Isabelle (she speaks English) and Jean-Claude welcome you in their lovely farm, in Bayonvillers (Somme, France)."
